AIS Introduces 8.4 and 10.4 Rugged Computersfor Agriculture, Transportation, Fleet and Asset Management Applications

American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS), has introduced a line of rugged touch screen computers for in-the-field environments and conditions. The rugged PC's feature enhanced environment protection meeting MIL-STD-810F compliance standards including shock/vibration, drop, and high/low temperature. Water/Dust resistance is rated to IP65 for excellent outdoor performance. Powering the unit is Intel's Atom N270 1.6Ghz Processor for completely fanless operation, high reliability, long product lifetime support and superior performance per watt operation.
The rugged panel PC is not only limited to vehicle and agriculture application; its sturdy design allows it to be deployed in marine, military, mobile communication, and warehousing applications. Available in fanless ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) designs to high power Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo processors to suit your requirements, AIS solutions provide the flexibility to mix and match mechanical and system platforms, creating a competitive advantage in design and performance. The HMI touch screens are also available, adding interactivity to magnify utility and effectiveness of the display. Currently the Panel PCs are available in sizes 6.4 inches to 20.1 inches.

The ruggedized panel pc's are constructed of aluminum-magnesium alloy housings for maximum protection. Specialized vehicle mounting brackets are available or use the standard VESA spacing holes for quick and easy mounting. Additional enhancements are available such as Anti-corrosion coatings, wide voltage range input, Sunlight Readability Enhancements, and Touch screen integration to customize the panel pc to your exact requirements. Currently the units are available in 8.4 and 10.4 size. AIS ruggedized computers are available commercially off the shelf, pre-engineered and ready for deployment to reduce time to market.
