ACP certified panel PC suits dusty, hot environments
Adding to its lineup of ThinManager ready hardware, Logic Supply has announced the release of an ACP certified panel PC, the TM400. Engineered for use in challenging particulate-rich, vibration-prone and extreme temperature environments, these touchscreen systems are intended for industrial control, advanced kiosk, transportation, inventory management and HMI applications.
The ThinManager Ready designation certifies that a system has undergone extensive testing by ACP and comes pre-loaded with the necessary ACP BIOS, allowing for direct download of the appropriate thin client firmware.
The TM400 is built on the Cincoze Crystal Series of panel PCs, featuring a patented Convertible Display System (CDS) which combines reliable, bright touchscreen displays with removable PC or display modules. The CDS allows a single display to function as either an all-in-one panel when equipped with a PC module, or a secondary display when configured with a Cincoze display module. This unique modularity enables simple maintenance and upgrading, as well as out of the box multi-screen capabilities.
Available in 15, 17 and 19" models, the TM400 features an operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C and an IP65 rated front bezel to prevent damage from splashed or sprayed liquids. Standard I/O includes four USB, two RS232/422/485 COM ports, VGA, DisplayPort, Line-out, Mic-in and 8-bit DIO. The system is powered by an energy efficient Intel Bay Trail processor drawing only 15W of power and can be equipped with a 2.5" HDD or CFast memory.
Logic Supply's ML100 industrial NUC computer is also in the final stages of the ThinManager certification process with ACP and should be available in the coming weeks as the ThinManager Ready TM100.
"In the type of challenging environments that many of our clients face on a daily basis, a standard thin client system either won’t last or simply won’t work," said Will McCue, ThinManager Hardware Specialist, Logic Supply. "These panels offer resistive touchscreens for gloved users, a range of the most popular screen sizes and a modular design, which makes them easy to maintain and simple to upgrade. It’s everything our clients have been asking for in a ThinManager Ready panel. These systems will give our thin client customers a range of industrial hardware options to suit any virtualisation need," said McCue.
Logic Supply’s ThinManager Ready panel PCs are now available, directly and through hardware resellers nationwide.
