Specifically designed to provide the most precise control to thermoelectric modules (Peltier) at the most economical price, the 5R7-570(A) electronic temperature controllers have been introduced by Oven Industries. The bi-directional controllers feature H-bridge temperature control to seamlessly transition between heating and cooling over a temperature range of -20 to 150°C.

Operating over a universal AC input, the RoHS compliant digital controllers feature pulse width modulation to control the power level in the thermoelectric module at a base frequency of 1Khz, input voltage of 6-28VDC, output voltage of 0-36VDC, load current of 0.1-12.5A, and 450W output power control.

The 5R7-570(A) open board controllers feature illumination indicators with green LED for heating mode, blue LED for cooling mode and simultaneous illumination showing that the load circuit is off due to an open sensor. It is supplied in a small 1.75x3.5x3" package and has control stability of ± 0.1°C. Power resolution is one of ±250 steps in the load circuit control.

The electronic temperature controllers feature an RS232 communication port, setup via operator interface or serial link GUI, non-volatile memory, and open circuit protection. They are also PC programmable. The temperature range is determined by the sensor selected. Available sensors include the TR136 series with ±0.1°C accuracy, the TR67 series with ±1°C accuracy, and the TR104 series with ±1°C accuracy.

Oven Industries also supplies a display accessory, (Model 5R6-576) with a 4 digit temperature read out.
