AAEON Releases A New Industrial HMI Touch Panel Solution: AHP-1070

AAEON, a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, has unveiled a new Industrial HMI Touch Panel Solution, the AHP-1070, which adopts the TI OMAP 600 MHz processor. The demands for Industrial HMI Touch Panels are increasing, therefore providing a slim, compact, and multi-functional Touch Panel is the initial design concept of the AHP-1070.
/> The AHP-1070 supports TI OMAP 600 MHz processor and includes the LP DDR 128 MB RAM system memory. The LCD/CRT controller has been integrated in the TI processor. This model supports versatile I/O ports, such as one RS-232, one RS-232/422/485, two USB2.0, one USB client, one 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 port, and one VGA-out to offer flexible capabilities to connect with devices. Moreover, the AHP-1070 deploys onboard 256MB MAMD Flash/ and one SD card to provide ample storage. It also equips two Mini-Card (USB interface only) for further expansion.

This is the first ARM base HMI Touch Panel PC AAEON has developed. The core technology is designing a board with low power consumption and still operate in high temperature environments without any heat spreading equipment or assistance. In addition, the IP-65 front panel design is another key feature of the AHP-1070 along with its support for Windows® CE, Linux and Google Andorid OS to fulfill the versatile demands of software and to meet various demands from users, said Boris Chen, Product Manager of AAEON Panel Appliance & Automation Division. The flexible expansions and good balance in price and performance make the AHP-1070 a perfect product for Factory Automation, Home Automation, and HMI applications, added Boris.

The slim AHP-1070 (less than 45mm) is ideal for space limited applications. In addition, the AHP-1070 has reserved two PCI-Express Mini Card interfaces to support 3G/GPS and Wireless LAN functions for providing more network communication options. This model has the characteristics of an industrial PC long-life cycle and provides flexible combinations and expansions for users.
