AAEON - FWS-7800 Hot Swappable Appliance

AAEON released a new 1U Intel Xeon 3400 Series Network Appliance with 10 LAN Ports: FWS-7800. This 1U compact chassis, highlighted by a terrific thermal solution, is another complete system solution in the networking appliance product line.
/> The FWS-7800 features the Intel® Xeon Quad Core™ 3400 Series Processor with the Intel® 3450 Chipset. The System Memory supports 240-Pin Dual-Channel ECC DDR3 1066/1333 and four SDRAM DIMM (Up To 16 GB). The SSD consists of a CompactFlash™ Type 2 Connector (ATA Mode). The FWS-7800 also offers a Mini-PCI Type 3 Socket for more expansion options. There are copious I/O ports, such as six USB 2.0, 10 LAN (Optional), one Power LED, one Bypass LED, one LCM Display, one PCI-E/PCI-X/PCI Expansion Slot, and one HDD Active LED connector.

The FWS-7800 has hot swappable design configurations for PER-C31L, PER-C33L, PER-C34L and PER-C35L modules, says Curtis Lai, Product Manager of AAEON's Industrial System Division. It also offers Advanced Bypass Functions, such as Power Failure Mode, Jumper-less, System Failure Mode and a Programmable Force Bypass Mode. All of these options make the FWS-7800 exceedingly effortless to work with.

Key features of the FWS-7800 include Console Redirection, Software Buttons, a Remote Boot from LAN, a LCM & Keypad Control, and 2-10 RJ-45 ports or Dual 10G Ethernet Fiber Solutions. It also features a Patented Expansion Slot Bracket. This Bracket is easy to install, has a screwless design, and is flexible for expansion. The user can decide upon various expansion buses for their system by PCI-E/PCI-X/PCI Bus in the 1U system.
