JAE's WP9 Series Pitch Board-to-Board Connector With 20% Less Mounting Space

For information communication devices like mobile phones and smartphones, the number of components used is increasing while the devices themselves continue to get slimmer and smaller in size. For this reason, there is a demand for the connectors used inside to be smaller and slimmer to reduce mounting space and also to have high reliability against drop impact and shock. These are requirements which are difficult to achieve at the same time.
To meet these requirements JAE has developed the WP9 Series stacking type board-to-board connector achieving the industry's smallest-in-class size depth of 1.95mm and a terminal interval pitch of 0.4mm.

The WP9 Series allows for more design freedom for customers with a 20% reduced mounting space compared to our previous product. It features a 2-point contact structure with proven results and is drop impact resistant and vibration resistant, and it also improves workability for customers with a click felt at the worker's finger tips when mating is complete.


-0.4 mm pitch, 2 rows, 0.8mm stacking height, 1.95mm width.
-2-point contact design to resist twisting stress and enhance retention strength.

-Contact structure ensures high wear-resistance and high contact reliability.
-Structure improves contact reliability and foreign material removal performance for the contact area of plug contact.
-Pb-free. (Nickel barrier finish on contact prevents solder migration.)
