At SPS IPC Drives 2018 in Nuremberg last week, TE Connectivity demonstrated how easy it is to connect power, signal and data cables with its Intercontec connectors. Because these plug-and-play connectors are based on a modular architecture, they can be used in a wide variety of combinations.

“This product series gives our customers a whole range of innovative motor connectivity solutions,” said Intercontec General Manager Peter van Loo.

“The highlights on this years’ SPS IPC Drives exhibition were our new generation of one cable technology interfaces and the smart connectors with AutoID features based on NFC technology. These novelties will reduce the total cost of ownership both for our OEM customers and their end users. The smart connectors are offering the potential to shift Motor Connectivity into IIoT-environments.”

The one cable technology interfaces are available in various sizes to meet the power and space requirements of modern servo motors, suitable both for data communication via twisted pair or coaxial wire.

Smart information applied to connectors is based on the standard locktec sleeve for simple integration into various connector series.
