Tyco Electronics releases flush-mount modular unloaded patch panels for network cabling systems

A new range of flush-mount modular unloaded patch panels for use in network cabling systems has been released by the AMP NETCONNECT business unit of Tyco Electronics.

The panels, which are universal for shielded and unshielded installations, can be terminated with any AMP NETCONNECT modular jacks, and incorporate a standard ‘six pack’ fascia configuration to provide a consistent appearance for Category 5e, 6, 6a and 7a cabling configurations. They are equally suited to use in systems with or without the AMPTRAC intelligent infrastructure management system.

Each panel provides 24 ports in a 1U high configuration, and accepts all SL and AMP-TWIST jacks. The panels are supplied with unpainted 19-inch mounts for automatic bonding, and are fitted with grounding lugs and built-in rear cable management trays for use with ties. Labelling is eased by a removable plastic window.
