One example is PROVERTHA’s interface connectors for electrical car control units which require the precise contact assembly to allow overmoulding. Collaborating with the customer, a die-cast material for this application and contacts with very low tolerance deviation were determined, yielding a non-deforming component.
Suitable for sensor attachment in cars, such as a connecting cable for exhaust sensors, PROVERTHA has developed interface connectors requiring customer-specific component geometry with various coding possibilities and colours. This resulted in a complete new construction and development of a connector range according to customer guidelines.
PROVERTHA Automotive Solutions also produces car gear sensors, which require a 3-pole overmoulded connector with 180° solder pins. The company accepted the challenge to develop and produce a component with small connector geometry, extended contact length and compliance to PCB hole tolerances for secure solder process.
