The binder 720 Series features a simple, all-plastic, modular design which is lightweight and, at only 16mm diameter, highly compact.  binder designed the 720 Series for use in applications where a simple waterproof connection is needed in harsh environments. The use of internal seals mean the range is dust and waterproof to IP67 with excellent electrical characteristics up to 7A and 250V.

The connectors feature a unique snap-in fitting method that provides high levels of connection integrity and an extremely convenient and safe connect and disconnect action.  Compact and lightweight, the snap-in technology offers simple, fast and convenient mating even in areas of restricted access making them ideal for a wide variety of applications including: data-logging, medical equipment, industrial control and measuring equipment, sensors, laboratory instrumentation, communications, LED lighting and security systems.

Male contacts are gold-plated brass and female gold-plated bronze and the range has a life of over 500 mating cycles.

Manufactured from a robust Polyamide 66 material they offer excellent dimensional stability and rigidity and excellent resistance to acetate and alcohol-based disinfectants.

binder 720 Series connectors come in black as standard but binder can supply other colour coded versions - red, blue and green if required. Medical grade versions in RAL 9002 are also available. The cable connectors are field attachable, have solder bucket termination and can be mated in-line for an extension piece or coupled with the solder bucket or dip solder panel receptacles.

The latest addition to the 720 Series is a twin distributor – a single male connector into two female connectors - which will prove popular with installers who need to use miniature circular connectors in today’s automation applications.

The twin distributor features 3 and 5 gold plated contacts rated up to 7A at 250V (5A at 125V).
