Nano connectors are defined by Mil-Std-32139. Comments Gary Evans, recently appointed European Sales Manager: “Based on proven Nano Flex Pin contact technology, Omnetics’ Bi-lobe range is synonymous – in the USA – with Nano connectors.” Bi-lobe connectors are preferred for their resistance to extreme conditions of shock and vibration, whilst in the miniature footprint. Applications include military, space, medical, oil and gas equipment.
New single row Bi-lobe connectors are available in 9-51 way versions, are housed in a robust metal shell and feature a metal jackscrew for locking and un-mating. They are polarised to prevent mis-mating. They withstand a shock of 100G in each axis and passed a vibration exposure from 10 to 2,000 to 10 Hz at 20G amplitude in each axis – in accordance with Mil-Std-32139. Wire to wire and surface mount versions are available.
