Hypertac has announced a ruggedised contact system to transmit high-speed Ethernet signals in harsh environment applications such as railway, military and industrial markets.
The contact delivers excellent integrity and high reliability under high levels of shock and vibrations through the use of the Hypertac hyperboloid technology. The contact’s ruggedised shell also provides cabling protection.

Available in twinax, triax and quadrax versions, the contact can be used in a range of circular and rectangular modular connectors series.

The high speed contact system meets the requirements of highest performance Ethernet, class F It is compliant with the latest Ethernet standards (IEE802.3) and achieves more than 700 MHZ DC.

In addition, the Hypertac high speed contact system can be easily removed from the connector insulator with the appropriate tooling, enabling easy maintenance. The contact system is designed for cables of a resistance of 100, 120 and 150Ω and of sizes from 6.5 mm to 13 mm diameter.
