The contact base is made of a noteworthy material, notably LCP, V0 according to UL94, which enables higher than usual soldering temperatures. Multiple times higher than is customary for this class, the socket is designed to accommodate rated currents of 2A and a rated voltage of 34VDC. This is Lumberg’s response to the demand for RCA chassis sockets for higher electrical capacities.
The mechanical test with plug cycles of ≥ 5,000 for insertion forces of ≤ 30 N, and tensile forces between 3 and 30 N reaches far above average results. The 1553 02 RCA connector comes in either a black, white, yellow or red casing, and mates either with STO or XSTO (kink protection) RCA connectors.
