Push-pull connectors reduce assembly time & expense

Featuring a push-pull locking mechanism, a series of circular connectors has been released by Yamaichi Electronics. Due to a material reduction, the Y-Circ P connectors reduce both cost and space required. The push-pull locking mechanism pulls on the housing, allowing the easy insertion and unlocking of the connectors. At least 5,000 plug cycles are enabled by the connectors’ contacts. 

The Y-Circ P connectors, which are claimed to be shorter than the competing products, can be connected to existing series on the market. To reduce assembly time and expense, all half-shells are designed identically. 

Yamaichi Electronics has released the B series of the connectors, which have a protection rating of IP50 and can be ordered in a number of combinations. Three diameters are currently available, which can be equipped with a different number of contacts.

Offered with a chrome-plated metal housing, the Y-Circ P connectors are suitable for use with visually demanding devices. Enabling secure data transmission in high currents, the connectors are provided with machined contacts.
