Bulgin says its Standard Vitalis Buccaneer represents a major leap forward in sustainable interconnect technology without compromising the Buccaneer series’ excellent durability.
The connectors are in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey.
Engineered as a planet-friendly alternative to the Bulgin flagship Standard series, the Vitalis range is crafted using up to 86% bio-based content by weight.
These innovative materials are derived from sustainable sources, such as tropical castor beans and biomass waste, reducing the product’s carbon footprint.
Along with its green credentials, the Vitalis series maintains the exact technical performance and rugged reliability of the original series, offering a seamless drop-in replacement for existing designs.
Designed to thrive in the harshest conditions, these connectors offer IP68 and IP69K protection when mated, ensuring they remain completely dust-tight and waterproof even under high-pressure washdowns or prolonged submersion.
They support power ratings up to 12A and 277 VAC/DC, with versatile configurations ranging from two to 25 contacts.
To complete the sustainability cycle, Bulgin has also introduced fully biodegradable packaging and 100% recyclable boxes.
Whether for marine, industrial, or automotive use, the Standard Vitalis Buccaneer provides a robust, high-performance connection that supports both technical requirements and environmental goals.
The connectors come in multi-pole 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, and 25 contact options.
Seven body styles are offered – flex cable, inline cable, panel-mount (front/rear), PCB-mount, bulkhead, and flange-mount.
The connectors are fully UL and VDE certified for international compliance.
A compact design is optimised for space-saving industrial and outdoor applications.
Applications include marine equipment, agriculture, industrial automation, renewable energy, water treatment, transportation, automotive, external lighting, civil engineering, oil and gas, medical, data and telecoms, transportation, and green technology.
