Lane Electronics has just made available Edgecard printed circuit board (PCB) connectors manufactured by sister Lodge Group company Weald Electronics. These are 0.100in (2.54mm) pitch board to board edge connectors which can be supplied cut to any required length on very short leadtimes.

Made in the UK, the connectors are suitable for PCBs with a thickness between 1,4mm to 1,7mm. They can be supplied single or double sided with 4 to 170 cantilever or bifurcated contacts. Contacts are copper alloy plated with a hard acid gold and are suitable for vapour phase soldering.

The connectors offer a versatile solution to many PCB to PCB applications thanks to the availability of several special extended board terminations including 90 degree tails. Weald has designed these Edgecard connectors to provide up to 250 mating cycles.

These Weald Electronics Edgecard connectors can be supplied with plastic or metal mounting feet as well as polarising keys and there is also a choice of three termination styles: discrete wire, straight pc and wire wrap.

Lane is Weald’s exclusive distributor and is an ideal source for all key connector types including circular, filtered, RF, coaxial, sub – miniature, backshells and adaptors, D connectors, aerospace, test & measurement, IDC, PCB connectors, edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
