Designed to replace a standard elastomeric connector which could only used once, the 40-position, 1.27mm-pitch MBF connector has a mated height of 8mm and is guaranteed for up to 1000 mating cycles. The double contact design increases contact reliability while the floating metal spring on the housing provides a cushioning effect which ensures the contact accuracy between the connector and the PCB frame.
Devices are suitable for stacking two to 12 PCB frames. As well as space and satellite applications, ITT’s new MBF connectors are suitable for high-end computer and medical equipment.
