Cable Receptacles from ITT Interconnect Solutions

The ITT Cannon KP series of circular connectors was first developed to meet the needs of military applications. However, over time these products have also begun to proliferate into industrial markets. More specifically, these connectors have proven highly suitable for use in all manner of harsh environment applications, and tasks where quick connect/disconnect is required.

To address this growing need, to support the KP series, the company is now in a position to offer a broad selection of cable receptacles, loaded with solder-to-board contacts and plug connectors in combination with customized end bells/adaptors. Receptacles are available with a variety of different solder pin diameters and solder pin lengths. The plug connectors are fabricated with metric or PG adaptors, or customized end bells. This variety of options allows the customer to use multiple variations of cable glands, cable conduits, and shrink boots in their cabling design.

The receptacles have a selection of possible contact sizes (20, 16, and 12), and boast a current rating of 7.5 A (for the 20 contact version) and 10.0 A (for the 16 contact version). The contacts are available in gold plating or flash gold plating. They are designed to withstand a large number of mating cycles (500 minimum). Applications that will make use of these receptacles include test equipment, camera systems, robotic devices, engine control, valve control, and gearbox control.
