PEI-Genesis has added Amphenol’s 62GB series of miniature bayonet-lock connectors to its stock profile and is now offering them with the company’s standard 48-hour assembly service. Designed to provide a robust, high-density interface, the connectors are ideal for use on military communications equipment and for applications in demanding industrial environments.
For maximum resistance to corrosion, the connectors’ aluminium shells are supplied with an olive-drab zinc cobalt protective finish as standard and can also be specified with electroless nickel, black anodised or black zinc cobalt finishes if required. Inserts are made from a polychloroprene rubber compound, and the connectors have gold-plated solder-bucket contacts.

To prevent any mis-mating or cross plugging of adjacently mounted connectors, the 62GB series incorporates positive shell-to-shell keying, with a choice of up to five different key/keyway orientations.
Available in an extensive range of shell styles and insert arrangements, the connectors come in nine shell sizes ranging from Size 8 to Size 24, accommodating up to 61 contacts. Since PEI-Genesis holds its stock at piece-part level, the company is able to assemble any variant that may be required.

The 62GB series connectors comply with MIL-C-26482 and are fully qualified to BS 9522 FOO 17 and DEF STAN 59-35 (Part 3) Section 7.
