Military specification connectors from Amphenol and ITT

Farnell has significantly boosted the range and availability of military specification connectors it offers by including market leading suppliers ITT and Amphenol in its extended range initiative. The move will allow customers in the military, aerospace, defence and industrial markets to source a wide range of non-standard and uniquely assembled connectors on an accurate and reliable three-day lead-time.

By extending its overall product range, Farnell provides its customers in the electronic design engineering (EDE) and maintenance and repair operation (MRO) sectors with a greater product choice from a single source. To date the initiative has added a total of 18,000 product lines to the company’s portfolio with plans to add significantly to this in the future.

Commenting on the impact this initiative on its existing and potential customer base, Peter Davis, Director of Product Development, Farnell said: “There is a strong requirement within the Military, Aerospace and Industrial sectors for an effective, short lead-time supply chain for both standard and custom connectors. This initiative seeks to meet that requirement and provide design engineers working within these markets with a reliable single source for a wide range of products.”
