Lead-free RF SMA connectors match conventional parts

Richardson RFPD has availability and full design support capabilities for a new family of lead-free radio frequency SMA connectors from HUBER+SUHNER.

This new product family leverages HUBER+SUHNER’s widely-used SMA interface in a lead-free solution for connectors that can deliver the same levels of electrical performance and mechanical properties as conventional connectors.

The new lead-free SMA connectors feature a broadband frequency range of up to 18 GHz and offer excellent return loss and high mechanical strength.

They are also inter-mateable with PC3.5 adapters and SK connectors.

HUBER+SUHNER’s lead-free, 50 Ohm, SMA coaxial connectors include:

  • 11_SMA-50-2-116/111_N: Straight cable plug (male)
  • 16_SMA-50-2-114/111_N: Right angle cable plug (male)
  • 24_SMA-50-2-116/111_N: Straight bulkhead cable jack (female)
  • 82_SMA-50-0-21/111_N: Straight PCB jack (female)
  • 85_SMA-50-0-103/111_N: Right angle PCB jack (female)

The lead-free SMA connectors are suitable for communications, defence, aviation, test and measurement, and a range of industrial applications.
