Leading cable solutions provider, Lapp Ltd, has launched an extension to its range of SKINTOP® CLICK cable glands. As a result, this market leading cable insertion system for control cabinets now has an additional spiral to protect against bending and to protect and secure flexible cables.
The new SKINTOP® CLICK BS is therefore ideal for use in hand-held equipment, mobile machine parts, in stage technology or in the robotics industry, where connecting cables must be protected against excessive bending in accordance with VDE regulation 0730.

The new gland is available in three sizes: M16, M20 and M25 with a reducing seal for smaller diameter cables and in three colours: RAL 7001 silver grey, RAL 7035 light grey and RAL 9005 black.

To complete the range, Lapp has announced the SKINTOP CLICK BLK blanking plug suitable for previously drilled holes that need to be sealed. It is available in light grey to RAL 7035 in SIZES M16, M20 and M25 with an IP rating of 68.

Matt Ansell, Marketing manager of Lapp Group Ltd comments, ”The main advantage of when compared to conventional glands is its speed of installation. It simply needs to be clicked into the drilled hole. Just turn the pressure nut a short way to the left and the cap nut to the right and the cable is fixed in place.”

The new SKINTOP® CLICK gland automatically centres the cable, protects against vibration, offers optimal strain-relief in accordance with EN50262 and is hermetically sealed to IP 68.

The innovative click-in system of the new SKINTOP® CLICK saves up to 70% of the time required to install compared to conventional cable glands. No threads need to be cut; no locknuts or assembly tools are required.
