USB, HDMI and RJ45 Ethernet connectors are increasingly used in harsh environment applications. When not in use, these ports can allow the ingress of dust and moisture which can cause sophisticated electronics to fail.
The Data-Con-X sealing cap, when used with Data-Con-X Panel Connectors, solves this problem with a watertight IP68 seal. The caps can also be used in conjunction with Data-Con-X connectors, which are sealed when mated.
