Industrial connector hoods increase flexibility

Expanding the Han-Compact series of industrial connector hoods, HARTING has released a plastic version featuring combined straight and lateral cable outlets. Since only one type number need be used for several different applications, the hood enables increases flexibility in mounting arrangements and simplifies ordering and logistics.

Supplied with both cable outlets closed, the Han-Compact hood is designed for use with an M20 sized cable clamp. The cable outlet can be opened by simply turning the cable clamp between the straight and/or lateral options.

Operating over a temperature range from -40 to +125°C, the industrial connector hood (when closed) is IP65 rated in accordance with DIN EN 60 529 and flammability class V 0 in accordance with UL 94.

The hood is suitable for all contact inserts from HARTING’s Han-Compact range, but is particularly suitable for field installation when used in combination with the company’s Han Q connector family with Quick Lock connection technology.
