The robust axial (180°) CAN-Bus connector with 360 ° EMI/RFI shielding and M12 Plug&Play socket is specially designed for applications with stacked interfaces where neither right angle nor angled cable exits can be used. The lockwasher under the Allen screw cares for vibration-proof locking at the CAN-Bus interface, whereas the Allen head enables locking at constricted installation sites. The full-metal housing with special shielding design ensures 360° EMI/RFI shielding and allows the use in raw environmental conditions, e.g. in industrial automation, railway technology, and power stations.
The new CAN-Bus connector is specified according to IP67. Due to its compact dimensions (47 mm x 33.6 mm x 14.8 mm) the device is ideal for space limited assembly situations. Pre-assembled non-losable lock screws simplify the field assembly. Installation disruptions because of screws lost by mistake at the assembly site now are a matter of the past. Sealing towards mating connector is implemented with connector seal in the D-Sub pin in the interior of the metal case UNC 4-40 Allen screws lock the connector to the CAN-Bus interface. The D-Sub connectors comply with quality level 2 for 200 mating cycles.
