Ronetix, a developer and manufacturer of high-performance System on Modules (SOM) solutions, announces its new series of SoMs based on NXP’s powerful, cost-effective i.MX8M, i.MX8M-Mini and i.MX8M-Nano Quad ARM Cortex-A53 processors. For all SoMs, Ronetix offers Linux Yocto BSP.

i.MX8MM-COMPACT-CM

The 40x30mm SoM with 2×100 Hirose DF40C connectors comes with quad-core Cortex-A53 i.MX8M-Mini at up to 2GHz. The i.MX8M-Mini also has a 400MHz Cortex-M4 MCU plus GCNanoUltra (3D) and GC320 (2D) graphics cores. H.265 and VP9 decoders support 1080p60 video. The module provides 1GB to 4GB LPDDR4, 4GB to 64 GB eMMC, dual band WiFi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.2 BLE.
The i.MX8MM-COMPACT-CM has on board a GbE PHY and supports 2x USB 2.0 OTG, 4x UART, 3x I2C, 3x SPI, single PCIe 2.0, SD/MMC, CANBus, JTAG.
Display interfaces include MIPI-DSI and LVDS both at up to 24-bit 1920 x 1080 resolution. Also available is a MIPI-CSI camera interface.

iMX8MM-COMPACT-CM

i.MX8MN-COMPACT-CM is a stripped down module version assembled with the low power i.MX8M-Nano.
The module can be assembled with 1x to 4x A53 cores, which are clocked to 1.5GHz instead of 2GHz on the Mini. Instead of the Cortex™-M4, there is a faster, Cortex-A7 @ 750MHz. The Nano’s Vivante GPU lacks the Mini’s video processing unit. The i.MX8MN-COMPACT-CM offers 512MB to 2GB LPDDR4.

i.MX8M-MINI-CM

The 67x40mm SoM in SODIMM204 form factor comes with quad-core Cortex-A53 i.MX8M-Mini at up to 2GHz. The i.MX8M-Mini also has a 400MHz Cortex-M4 MCU plus GCNanoUltra (3D) and GC320 (2D) graphics cores. H.265 and VP9 decoders support 1080p60 video.
The module provides 1GB to 4GB LPDDR4, 4GB to 64 GB eMMC, QSPI NOR Flash, I2C EEPROM, dual band WiFi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.2 BLE.
The i.MX8M-MINI-CM has on board a GbE PHY and supports 2x USB 2.0 OTG, 4x UART, 3x I2C, 3x SPI, single PCIe 2.0, SD/MMC, CANBus, JTAG.
Display interfaces include MIPI-DSI and LVDS both at up to 24-bit 1920 x 1080 resolution. Also available is a MIPI-CSI camera interface. On board also is an audio codec with stereo headphone, stereo class D speaker 1W, Microphone.
