HARTING introduces connector solution for 7/8in interfaces
HARTING has introduced a new industrial connector which integrates the company's HARAX rapid termination technology into a 7/8in interface connector. The 7/8in connector interface is used in many newly developed fieldbus modules. It is widely used in the United States, and is becoming increasingly popular in the European market.
Screw and solder termination versions of this connector have been on the market for some time, but the new version integrates the HARAX termination technology to produce a version which offers significant time and cost savings during assembly.
Cables with wire gauges from 0.75 mm2 to 1.5 mm2 will be suitable for use with the new connector.
The connector is rated at 10 A and 230/400 V, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, and incorporates sealing to IP 65/67 in accordance with IEC 60 529. The first product in the new range is a 5-pole version.
