HARTING has added a 40A crimp module to its Han-Modular industrial connector system. The new Han module is compatible for mating with the Han 40 A axial screw module already in wide use, and is particularly suitable for applications demanding the highest mechanical integrity.
A fundamental advantage of the crimp module is that it lends itself to efficient assembly, particularly in manufacturing applications where large numbers of units are involved. In these situations, significant economies can be achieved using a crimping machine such as the HARTING TC-C01. For assembly in the field, manual crimping tools are also available.

The Han(R) 40 A crimp module features two power contacts rated at up to 40 A at 1000 V, and allows currents up to 60 A to be transmitted with 10 mm^2 strands. Assembly is via standard Han(R) C crimp contacts with cross-sections from 1.5 mm^2 to 10 mm^2 (AWG 16-8).

The new module joins a wide range of existing modules for electrical, optical and pneumatic signals. As an open connector system that is being continuously expanded, the Han-Modular(R) series allows customised connector configurations to be assembled to meet individual user requirements.
