Fibre optic cable assemblies built around 38999 platforms

Leading interconnection specialist distributor Lane Electronics announces a quick turnaround service for standard and custom 38999-based fibre optic cable assemblies. Designed around the industry leading Souriau “Elio” high-performance fibre optic system, Lane offers patch cords and jump leads as well as customer specific FO assemblies on surprisingly short lead times.

Applications can include aerospace and military systems as well as those where high data rates are important while at the same time providing high resistance to difficult environments.

The Souriau Elio system features an impressive optical performance making it capable of dealing with data speeds up to several Gbit/s.

Lane’s fibre optic assembly service offers simplex or duplex cables terminated with Elio to Elio, Elio to LC or SC contacts – or any combination. These are then mated with 8D Series / MIL-DTL-38999 style connectors, back shells and heat shrink boots.

Lane Electronics can supply these 8D Series / MIL-DTL-38999 connector platforms with 1 to 24 contacts in aluminium, composite, stainless steel & bronze shells. Plating finishes include RoHS Compliant Zinc Nickel & Zinc Cobalt.
