Lane Electronics, one of the UK’s leading interconnection specialists, has expanded production and assembly of the ITW McMurdo Edgecard PCB connector range. Designers looking for modular edge connectors will no doubt be aware that Viking Interconnection Systems ceased production towards the end of last year depriving Viking customers of a reliable supply of edge connectors, particularly the popular and established VMA series of 0.100in (2.54mm) pitch modular edge connectors.
Lane is producing VMA equivalent edge connectors under its ITW McMurdo brand and, since manufacture and assembly is on site, lead times for these sought after connectors are generally very short.

These Edgecard connectors are intermateable with other similar pitch connectors and can be supplied with fixed or replaceable contacts and cut to any size from 5 to 85 contacts single or 10 to 170 double sided. They can be fitted with cantilever or bifurcated contacts, are suitable for vapour phase soldering and offer a choice of three termination styles – discrete wire, straight pc and wire wrap.

Lane is an ideal source for all key connector types including circular, filtered, RF, coaxial, sub – miniature, backshells and adaptors, D connectors, aerospace, test & measurement, IDC, PCB connectors, edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
