Connectors reduce assembly time & cost for LGA applications
Reducing assembly time and cost for a variety of land grid array (LGA) applications, Fujipoly has introduced the W series matrix connectors. Delivering measurable cost savings for densely packed boards with 200 or more I/Os, the silicone-based connectors eliminate the need to solder the LGA to the PCB.
Once the correctly sized W series connector pad is inserted between opposing groups of electrodes, only even pressure is required to make a complete electrical connection.
Embedded with 300 to 2,000 gold-plated wires per cm2, the W series connector provides a current carrying capacity of 500mA/mm2 and low resistance. The highly reliable silicone-based connector is available from stock in sizes up to 50x50mm and thicknesses of 0.50 or 1.0mm.
