HARTING is exhibiting a broad range of its products focused on the rail industry at Railtex (Stand E65). The company will demonstrate and discuss its range of connectivity solutions, from components through to complete assemblies such as intercar jumper cables, which are designed and manufactured at HARTING’s UK facility at Northampton.

The HARTING transportation market experts will be in attendance to discuss customers’ projects and introduce new product developments, which include the latest addition to the HARTING PushPull connector family: the circular M12 PushPull, which combines compact design with tool-free installation.

The PushPull connector range can be used for the transmission of data, signals and power and has been thoroughly tested according to railway standards for shock, vibration and temperature.

Not only does PushPull offer weight savings, its compact design and tool-free installation make it easier to fit in space-restricted areas such as roof cavities, underfloor areas and control cabinets.

In addition, HARTING will be showing the latest innovations in the industry standard Han connector series in the form of Han-Eco B, a lightweight, energy-efficient series of hoods and housings which meets the requirements of the EN45545-2 Standard.

Increased energy efficiency and weight reduction are key issues facing the rail construction sector, and Han-Eco B offers substantial weight savings compared to traditional metal connectors.

The Han-Eco B is available in sizes 6-24B and supports both monobloc and modular inserts, offering an unparalleled choice of data, signal and power options.

When it comes to flexible and secure solutions for reliable information processing, HARTING’s range of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) readers and components are designed for the most demanding environmental conditions.

UHF RFID tags can easily track assets such as machines and tools, carry out automatic vehicle identification and monitor the location condition of rail equipment and vehicles.

Also featured is HARTING Customised Solutions (HCS): an operation set up to develop turnkey solutions for industry. Working in conjunction with some of biggest names in rail transportation, HCS has designed, tested and produced a wide range of bespoke products such as jumper cables, hoods, housings and connectors.
