The new hood is designed to provide a compact plug-in solution in power systems using large-gauge wire (greater than 10 mm² cross-section or AWG 8), where the cable diameter is so big that an M32 cable gland and a large connector are required. The Han-Modular Compact connector from HARTING is based on the established Han-Modular system, which includes power modules rated up to 70 A and 1000 V, signal modules with up to 25 contacts, and data modules.
