Cable assemblies cover frequencies from 18 to 110 GHz

The new Cardinal Test high-frequency cable assemblies from Molex are now being shipped by authorised distributor Mouser Electronics.

They set a new industry standard for testing and instrumentation, IoT, wireless, high-speed data transmission, and 5G applications.

The cable assemblies are based on high-performance microwave interconnection technology serving frequencies from 18 to 110 GHz using 1.0 mm connectors and provide the highest frequency available.

Offered in high-durability 2.4 mm, 3.5 mm and 1.85 mm plug and jack options in both standard and ruggedized phase-stable and low-loss configurations, these cable assemblies provide robust capabilities for accurate results that are both highly flexible and pinch-resistant.

The Cardinal Test cable assemblies deliver low density and a low dielectric constant with a velocity of propagation of up to 80% due to low attenuation.

With an impedance tolerance of +1%, these cable assemblies provide the lowest possible VSWR along the transmission path and for the assembly as a whole.

Molex delivers additional design flexibility for the user’s specific test and measurement needs with custom lengths and configurations accompanied by actual test data for every cable, like insertion loss and high phase amplitude stability, to ensure the highest quality.
