Amphenol RF expands locking cable assembly portfolio

Amphenol RF has announced the expansion of its locking cable assembly portfolio with configurations utilising high-frequency SMA connectors.

The secure locking feature of the locking connector on these cable assemblies increases the necessary force required to de-mate the connector, making them ideal for strenuous applications that undergo continuous movement or vibrations. The 1.13mm cabling used on these assemblies is easily routable, and comes in pre-configured lengths of 50mm to 400mm.

The SMA connector featured on the assembly has a threaded coupling mechanism guaranteeing a secure connection. The MHF I LK locking connectors are made from durable phosphor bronze with gold plating, guaranteeing resistance to harsh environments. SMA connectors are constructed from brass and also feature gold plating. Quality materials used in the construction of these assemblies assures high-performance reliability in a variety of demanding and rigorous applications.

This new expansion supports frequencies of up to 6GHz and is available as an off-the-shelf solution. It joins a growing catalogue of locking cable assemblies engineered for use in innovative applications such as drones, wireless communication, and automotive.
