Rittal has introduced a series of enclosures, the CS Toptec outdoor range, which has been specifically designed to safeguard the internal components from the external environment. Built around a stainless steel frame, based on the leading TS 8 enclosure, the housings are clad with twin walled sides, fastened securely from inside, with double skin doors front and rear for serviceability. The double walled sides and door also provide an effective barrier against condensation, which tends to form on the coldest internal surface (the inside of the outer wall), which is then discharged through the bottom edge of the panel.
To further offset the effects of direct sunlight, the rain canopy is also double skinned including vented sections at the front and rear where additional protection is provided over the doors to prevent water ingress during opening.

Performance may be enhanced by the addition of climate control devices including heat exchangers and chillers that can be integrated into the doors. For extreme conditions, supplementary heaters can be supplied linked to thermostatic control, in addition to the heat already generated by the contained system, to maintain operational temperatures regardless of the climate outside.

The vandal resistant CS Toptec range is available with a wide range of accessories, including plinths, mounting plate, mounting angles for 19” installation, gland plates and lifting eyebolts.
