The new SpectraCool range of industrial air conditioners from Schroff has been designed to provide efficient cooling of electronic systems in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications. Manufactured by McLean Cooling Technology, one of Schroff’s sister companies within the Pentair Technical Products Group, the new air conditioner employs a rotary compressor to achieve an energy efficiency up to 50% higher than conventional designs. In addition, SpectraCool is RoHS compliant and uses environmentally friendly R134a refrigerant.
There are 12 standard models in the range, offering a choice of indoor or outdoor designs, with 115, 230 or 415 3-phase AC voltage ratings and nominal cooling capacities of either 2300 or 3500W.

Indoor models include an electric heater strip for active condensate management and a power-off relay for the door switch, while the outdoor models feature corrosion-resistant components, head pressure control and built-in heaters. All models use cleanable, reusable aluminium mesh filters for maximum cooling performance.

SpectraCool’s galvanised sheet metal construction enables it to withstand both rugged factory and outdoor environments, and its RAL 7035 light grey powder-coat painted finish matches that of Schroff’s own range of 19in. equipment cabinets. For applications where stainless-steel enclosures are required, a Type 4X option is also available.

Every SpectraCool air-conditioning unit is functionally tested prior to shipping and is supplied with mounting hardware, gaskets and user manual.
