New blade design creates ‘green’ fan from Aerco

New from Aerco is a range of fans from Delta that uses a highly efficient, dual blade design with improved aerodynamics that avoids air flow separation and results in a more efficient performance thus saving energy while reducing operating noise levels.

Available in 120, 92 and 80mm frame sizes, the Delta QFR ‘green’ fans produce typically 70% more pressure and use 40% less power with extremely low noise at full speed. For example the 120 x 120 x 38mm fan produces airflow of 81.7 litres/sec (173.83 CFM) at 5000 rev/min and has a power consumption of 16W, an improvement of 33% compared with a typical conventional bladed fan of this size. There is also an improvement in acoustic noise of 5dBA.

With a life exceeding 70.000 hours, measured with L10 at 40°C, the QFR series is RoHS compliant and will prove ideal for use in modern telecommunication and computing equipment in servers, computers and PCs. Waterproof versions are also available.
