The Liebert DSE features Emerson’s exclusive EconoPhase pumped refrigerant economizer that delivers free-cooling without water consumption costs or air contamination concerns. The Liebert DSE with EconoPhase beats the utility cost of traditional air-cooled direct expansion systems by 45 percent and typical chilled water systems with air economizer systems by 15 percent, without introducing outside air into the controlled environment.
The Liebert DSE also features tandem Copeland Scroll Digital compressors to optimize part-load efficiency, electronic expansion valves to support lower condensing temperatures, and variable speed electrically commutated (EC) plug fans that automatically adjust unit airflow to demand. The integrated Liebert iCOM system adds intelligent control capabilities that allow the system to dynamically adjust airflow patterns and adapt quickly to changing IT loads.
“The Liebert DSE represents the state-of-the-art in data center room cooling and demonstrates that major increases in cooling efficiency can be achieved without compromising data center reliability and performance,” said Steve Madara, vice president, global cooling, Emerson Network Power. “These new models give data center designers and managers more options to configure data center cooling that is scalable, reliable and economical.”
