With the ‘aluCASE’ range, ROLEC seems to have answered many of the criticisms of standard off-the-shelf die-cast enclosures. These high performance IP 67 enclosures have been developed using modern, so called intelligent design principles.
For example, when fitting a membrane keypad to the lid section, you do not have to crop around the lid fixing screws - a recessed area is already provided. Also, unsightly hinges and visible screws are a thing of the past due to the modern integrated hinge design, and clip-in trims which hide the case and wall fixings screws.

Extras such as wall brackets are no longer needed as the ‘aluCASE’ enclosures incorporate screw ports for wall mounting, even when the unit is assembled, and accessories are not required to keep the lid retained as two lid retaining straps are also provided.

The aluCASE enclosures are manufactured in die-cast aluminium GD Al Si 12 and are supplied powder painted in window grey, RAL 7040. An extensive range of fourteen industry standard sizes is offered with external dimensions from 90 x 120 x 60 mm to 170 x 280 x 90 mm. Other options include EMC and IP 69K gaskets. Prices start at £23.

ROLEC offers a full customising service on these enclosures with CNC milling, drilling, silk-screen printing, assembly of cable glands and terminals and much more, providing a fully finished housing ready for fitting the components.
