Fan-and-filter units claimed to be up to 30% more efficient

Fan-and-filter units, which feature electronically commutated motors for energy efficiency, have been released by Rittal. According to the company, these units are more efficient in enclosure climate control than standard AC fan-and-filter units.

Standard units operate without regulation, running constantly at full speed, even in reduced temperatures. Rittal’s units feature a sensor which measures the temperature within the enclosure and controls the fan speed as required. The units, which shutdown at below 20°C, are claimed to be up to 30% more efficient than standard AC fan-and-filter units.
