Accessories for OKW’s SOFT-CASE wide-format handheld enclosures now include intermediate rings that create extra space for components. Tilt foot bars, battery clips, ring and strap eyelets, and belt/wall Combi-Clips are also available.

SOFT-CASE is ideal for handheld, desktop and wall-mount devices – either wireless or cable-connected. Applications include measurement, digital control, medical and laboratory technology, peripherals and interfaces, communications, IoT/IIoT, energy management, and environmental engineering.

Ergonomic soft contours ensure comfortable operation. The wide format offers a generous recessed area for larger displays, with added space for interfaces. The raised panel on the wide edge can accommodate more connections.

SOFT-CASE can be specified with or without a battery compartment (2 x AAA, 2/4 x AA, 1 x 9 V). This compartment’s clip-on lid can be screw fixed. IP 54 ingress protection is optional for the version without a battery compartment.

The enclosures are available in four sizes: 82 x 51 x 14mm to 150 x 92 x 28mm. The standard colours are off-white (RAL 9002) or lava ABS (UL 94 HB), or in black (RAL 9005) infrared-transparent PMMA (UL 94 HB).

The intermediate rings range from 54 x 85 x 12mm to 96 x 154 x 26mm. They are moulded from ABS, SEBS (TPE) and PMMA. Colours include off-white, lava, volcano, black and matt chromed.

OKW can supply SOFT-CASE fully customised. Services include machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, decor foils, special materials, EMC shielding, and installation/assembly of accessories.
