Chassis is offered with MicroTCA.4 & MicroTCA.0 slots

Providing both MicroTCA.4 compliant slots and MicroTCA.0 standard slots, the VT812 2U chassis has been introduced by VadaTech. Providing both MicroTCA slots enables a variety of configuration possibilities, including the use of rear I/O modules. Four mid-size MTCA.0 slots and four mid-size MTCA.4 slots, including corresponding MicroRTMs (Rear Transition Modules for MicroTCA), are offered by the chassis.

The chassis features dual MicroTCA Carrier Hubs (MCHs), dual redundant power supplies, a JTAG switch module and a Telco Alarm. As part of the MicroTCA specification, the ability for redundancy and failover with hot swappability throughout the system is provided by the MCH.

The backplane can route multiple fabrics, including PCIe (up to Gen 3), 40/10GbE and SAS/SATA ports. Although the MicroTCA.4 architecture is designed primarily for high energy physics applications, it is suitable for a range of Mil/Aero, broadcast and networking applications.
