BOPLA, the German electronic enclosure manufacturer, has expanded its range of aluminium housings as demand grows for durable, customisable casings in industrial and IoT applications.
The company, headquartered in Bünde and part of Switzerland’s Phoenix Mecano Group, said its aluminium enclosures now span simple and more design-led formats, with environmental protection ratings reaching IP69. The products are offered in a wide variety of sizes, giving equipment designers flexibility as requirements for robustness, heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding intensify across sectors.
BOPLA’s empty aluminium housings can be customised through coating, laser marking, printing, or full bespoke design work. Optional accessories include end covers, mounting lids, coloured design seals, wall fittings, caps, tip-up feet, front panels, and battery compartments.
Among the latest additions is BoVersa, a modular enclosure system aimed at IoT, wireless, measurement and control technologies. The three-part structure, available in plastic and aluminium, can be freely combined and includes translucent functional covers for visual design accents. Variants support integrated keyboards or displays, while the PC UL 94 V0 material is rated for outdoor use.
The Alubos line, rated to IP65, offers aluminium profile enclosures in five profile variants and ten cross-sections, with short-notice special lengths and die-cast aluminium end covers providing enhanced EMC protection.
BoCube Alu, designed for applications where appearance is a priority, features an integrated hinge, smooth or recessed lid options, and 11 size formats. The BA-S version adds screw-fixed covers and recessed areas for membrane keypads.
Euromas Alu, a long-standing general-purpose enclosure, remains available in three sizes, with options including silicone lid seals for higher temperature resistance, crystal-clear lids and EMC kits for additional shielding.
The Alustyle series targets applications needing more sophisticated design, with three profile variants, six cross-sections and strong EMC characteristics.
BOPLA said it offers customers a full service from milling and drilling to end-equipment assembly, supporting projects from prototype through to series production.
Founded more than 50 years ago, the company employs around 500 people worldwide, including 200 at its Bünde headquarters. Since 2021, it has integrated new HMI technologies from Kundisch GmbH into its high-end enclosure systems.
