The PIP Series IP67 box has been introduced by Bud Industries. It is cost effective, offering waterproof protection for approximately 10% less than competing enclosures, claims the company.

The enclosure is made from polycarbonate plastic enhanced with 10% fiberglass, offering improved rigidity and tighter tolerances. The box cover is polycarbonate; a clear polycarbonate lid can be requested offering the advantage of inspection without the need to open the box. The enclosure is offered in a range of sizes, from 3.15 x 1.18 x 1.37" to 10.04 x 4.92 x 0.25". In accordance with UL 746C, the box can be used outside and can withstand ultraviolet light exposure. The material used for the enclosure is non-chlorinated and non-brominated flame retardant with a UL-94 V0 rating. Captive non-metallic screws secure the cover, with other available options including an internal steel panel and stainless steel or plastic external mounting brackets.

Rated to NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4x and IP67, the molded enclosure is suited for PCB enclosures, junction boxes and other applications in the electrical and electronic industries. The box could also be used for control boxes, Wi-Fi and radio housing¸ lighting, access controls, facilities with washdown requirements, corrosive environments, pharmaceutical and chemical plants, pulp/paper mills and general factory environments

The PIP series is available from stock at prices starting around $6 for basic models, with discounts for quantity orders.
