SBC supplies variety of connectivity options

Advantech’s MIO-2263 Embedded IoT Gateway is available at Mouser Electronics. The MIO‑2263 is a single-board computer (SBC) equipped with either an Intel Celeron or Intel Atom CPU. These embedded Internet of Things (IoT) gateway SBCs feature a 1GbE interface for Ethernet connectivity up to 1,000 Mbps, up to 8GBytes of RAM, multiple I/O and communication interfaces, high-definition audio, and a half-size Mini PCI Express expansion slot.

The board can be supplied with either a 2.0GHz Intel Celeron J1900 CPU with 2MBytes of L2 cache, or a 1.33GHz Intel Atom E3825 CPU with 1MByte of L2 cache. The SBCs support up to 8GBytes of DDR3L DRAM in a single 204‑pin SODIMM slot, with one SATA II and one mSATA interface available for hard drive expansion. A user switch allows configuration for either one mSATA port or one mini PCIe port.

Each MIO-2263 is also equipped with an Intel Gen 7 DirectX®11.1 dual independent display that supports both VGA and a single channel 24-bit LVDS. Power on both SBCs is managed through an Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), and runs off a single, 12VDC power input that supports a DC power hot plug.

Advantech’s MIO-2263 Embedded IoT Gateway offers an assortment of networking, connectivity and I/O options, including two RS‑232 serial ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, an SMBus and an 8-bit general purpose input/output (GPIO). For audio, a high-definition, Realtek ALC888S audio codec is also supported with Line-in, Line out, and Mic-in connectors.

The MIO‑2263 SBCs are passive thermal solutions that can operate in 0 to 60°C (32°F to 140°F) environments, with an air flow of 0.7m/s. Both SBCs are ideally suited for a broad array of Internet of Things and monitoring-based applications.
