Intel Atom SoC drives computer-on-module devices
The ETX-BT Modules from ADLINK Technology are ready for shipment from Mouser Electronics. These Computer-on-Module (COM) devices are designed around the Intel Atom System on Chip (SoC) and include standard functions required for almost any application, such as graphics, Ethernet, audio, IDE, floppy, keyboard/mouse, parallel, serial and USB ports, and PCI and ISA system busses.
The modules use the ETX form factor, providing a high-integration PC in a small 114mm x 95mm footprint. A single SO-DIMM socket allows up to 4GBytes of system memory, and interface options include two PATA sockets, two SATA sockets, dual-channel 24-bit LVDS and VGA, four USB 2.0, and 10/100Mbps LAN with gigabit Ethernet available via an onboard connector.
The module also features built-in Smart Embedded Management Agent (SEMA) Cloud functionality, which provides access to voltage/current monitoring, power sequence debug support, AT/ATX mode control, logistics and forensic information.
The ETX-BT modules support legacy I/O of previous ETX modules, allowing designers to easily upgrade systems with drop-in replacements. The modules are widely used in industrial, automotive, and medical applications, and are ready-made for the Internet of Things (IoT).
