Avalue Technology has introduced the SLP-SKL, the EMX-Q170 and the EAX-Q170, which are based on the 6th generation Intel Core processor family. The 6th generation Intel Core processor family (codename Skylake) is a brand new micro-architecture built on Intel's 14nm manufacturing process. The family offers dramatically higher CPU and graphics performance, a wide range of power and feature scalability, and new advanced features that boost IoT designs from the edge to the cloud.

The SLP-SKL, a fanless expandable controller, supports two 260-pin DDR4 SODIMM system memory with up to 16GB capacity per SODIMM. The device supports dual display configurations: DP+DVI-I. The I/O deployment include one Mini PCI-e port, two 2.5" drive bays, one CFast, four USB3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports, 16CH isolated DIO, a Realtek ALC892 audio jack that supports 5.1-CH, two LAN ports with Intel I210AT and Intel i219LM, 2 PS/2 for KB & MS, three PCI and one PCI-e x16 expansion slots, makes various requirements of embedded applications possible. The SLP-SKL is compatible with a wide range of OSs. It supports iAMT 11.0 and TPM Function and is designed to meet the needs of the following markets: factory automation, transportation systems, communication systems and automation.

The EMX-Q170, an embedded Mini ITX industrial motherboard, supports two 260-pin DDR4 2133MHz SODIMM system memory with up to 16GB capacity per SODIMM. The device supports triple display. The I/O deployment include one full/half size Mini PCI-e with mSATA support (SATA III), one SIM card slot, one full/half size Mini PCI-e support WiFi module, one PCI-e x16, four USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, six COM ports, six SATA III and 8-bit GPIO, and a Realtek ALC892 audio jack that supports 5.1-CH. Two LAN ports with Intel i211AT and Intel i219LM, and onboard Infineon SLB9665 support TPM 2.0, make various requirements of embedded applications possible. The EMX-Q170 is suitable for gaming, industrial, retail, digital signage, medical, ATM machine and SMB storage and surveillance applications.

The EAX-Q170, an embedded ATX industrial motherboard, supports four 288-pin DDR4 2133MHz DIMM system memory with up to 16GB capacity per DIMM. The device supports triple display configurations: HDMI + DP + VGA (via eDP chip). The I/O deployment include one full/half size Mini PCI-e with mSATA support (SATA III), one M.2 2230 slot support WiFi module, one SIM card slot, six SATAIII, one PCI-e x16, one PCI-e x4, one PCI-e x1, four PCI, six USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, 8-bit GPIO, and a Realtek ALC892 audio jack that supports 5.1-CH. Two LAN ports with Intel i211AT and Intel i219LM, and onboard Infineon SLB9665 support TPM 2.0, make various requirements of embedded applications possible. The EAX-Q170 is suitable for gaming, industrial, retail, digital signage, medical, ATM machine and SMB storage and surveillance applications.

“The 6th generation Intel Core processor family is designed to build tomorrow's IoT solutions today. With this new, high performance processor family, Avalue will enable their customers to build a wide range of solutions to meet a broad range of IoT applications," said Samuel Cravatta, Product Line Director, Internet of Things Group, Intel.
