The kit enables designers to evaluate the CAN and LIN slave communication capabilities using any Arduino-compatible microcontroller-based kits that support the protocols.
The kit features two CAN transceivers for high-accuracy, high-speed transmissions, two LIN transceivers, and Arduino Uno R3-compatible headers. This kit can be used with any of Cypress’s Pioneer kits such as the CY8CKIT-042 PSoC 4 Pioneer Kit, CY8CKIT-044 PSoC 4 M-Series Pioneer Kit, or FM4-176L-S6E2GM FM4 S6E2G-Series Pioneer Kit.
The CAN and LIN Shield Kit’s five example projects demonstrate the CAN and LIN capabilities of Cypress’ PSoC 4 programmable system-on-chip and allow designers create applications with the easy-to-use CAN and LIN slave components in Cypress’ PSoC Creator Integrated Design Environment (IDE) or by altering the code examples.
The IDE simplifies system design and accelerates time-to-market by enabling concurrent hardware and firmware design.
