AAEON de next-TGU8 for "next-gen" single board computing
Embedded systems and display solutions provider, RDS (Review Display Systems) has announced the introduction of a new single board computer from leading embedded computing platforms manufacturer, AAEON. The de next-TGU8 is a new compact, high-performance computing system with processing power of up to four cores, with eight threads, powered by 11th Generation Intel Core i7, i5, and i3 processors.
The introduction of the innovative AAEON de next-TGU8 marks the beginning of a new generation in single board computing, by creating a highly compact board featuring an on-board Intel Core i-level processor. The de next TGU8 board features mechanical outline dimensions of just 84mm x 55mm.
Despite its compact mechanical form factor the de next-TGU8 offers a high level of integration and performance, supporting 16GB onboard LPDDR4x memory, an extensive I/O and multiple expansion options. The de next-TGU8 is designed to facilitate a high-speed interface with dual RJ45 ethernet ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2, and four USB 2.0 slots, and a dual display interface supported with HDMI and eDP ports.
Peter Marchant, embedded business manager, RDS said, “The data processing ability of the new AAEON de next-TGU8 ensure it is capable of powering the next generation of AI-based applications including smart systems, factory automation and robotics technology. The combination of small form factor, versatility and connectivity enable the de next-TGU8 to be used in a wide range of application environments.”
In addition to a broad range of I/O which can help to enable full use of its processing capability, the diminutive de next-TGU8 also provides plentiful expansion options for a variety of add-on modules. Expansion accessories include an FPC slot for PCIe x4 Gen 3 with riser kit, for additional storage or more advanced graphics options.
The de next-TGU8 also contains an M.2 2280 key slot (PCIe x 2), enabling users to combine different expansion modules to suit different application needs, such as AI acceleration, Wi-Fi, and 4G network modules.
The new AAEON de next-TGU8 single board computer is now available from Review Display Systems.
